Job Specification:
  • Manage the entire billing process for patients, ensuring accuracy in charges and coding before submitting claims to insurance companies.
  • Review and verify insurance information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Follow up on denied or unpaid claims and work with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Create and send patient invoices, ensuring transparency and clarity of all charges.
  • Track payments and apply them correctly to patient accounts, ensuring timely and accurate payment collection.
  • Assist with insurance audits, resolving any discrepancies found and ensuring proper billing practices.
  • Maintain patient billing records and respond to patient inquiries regarding their bills.
Requirements and skills:
  • Strong understanding of medical billing, including CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • Proficiency with billing software and office applications.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with insurance providers and patients.
  • Experience in a healthcare billing role is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow up on unpaid claims and process billing inquiries efficiently.
